Claudia Smithie

Public Engagement Trainee, Winter 2025

Claudia is a recent graduate of New York University, where she majored in Environmental Studies. She brings experience in clean energy technology, with skills in market and policy research and communications. Her freshman year, she took a class called “Shaping the Urban Environment,” which sparked her interest in urban green space and sustainable land use and culminated in her honors thesis on the legally contentious rezoning of a park in her neighborhood. When she’s not working, you can find her listening to podcasts, playing with her two cats, and going to museum exhibitions.
