As a multidisciplinary design, typography and illustration expert for over 25 years, Alvin Martinez delivers top-tier graphics and creative thinking to ASC clients across the nation. Alvin's expertise and collaborative mindset enable him to work with team members and clients to develop solutions for brand identity, editorial, digital and information design. He combines creative insight with visual storytelling to develop design solutions that makes complex ideas easy for stakeholders to understand.  

Alvin’s notable experiences include:  

  • Earning the US Secretary of Transportation’s recognition on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Get Road Smart. Lives Depend on It. campaign, which included website, fact sheets and toolkits 

  • Leading creative material development for the New York Power Authority’s ReCharge NY, Smart Street Lighting NY and Blended Power programs 

  • Building a comprehensive suite of creative materials, including Spanish-language materials, for the Federal Highway Administration’s It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air. national campaign 

  • Developing branding, creative materials and website design for the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Let’s GO CT! statewide transportation infrastructure campaign 

Alvin attended the School of Visual Arts and his work is in the permanent collection of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. When he puts down the drawing board, Alvin is an avid reader of history books, photographer, film enthusiast, and enjoys traveling across the country.

Helping stakeholders understand complex ideas through graphic solutions so that they can use this information in their daily lives is the most rewarding part of what I do at ASC.”
