Sophia brings a change-driven mindset and a passion for natural carbon removal solutions to the climate sphere. Her interests and experiences lie both in the climate mitigation and environmental justice spaces.
Sophia’s notable experiences include:
Facilitating stakeholder engagement events, community newsletters, grant development, and offshore wind fact sheets for Equinor’s Empire Wind.
Supporting the development of New York City’s Climate Resiliency Design Guidelines for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice.
Mapping inequity within New York City’s power grid for WE ACT For Environmental Justice.
Sophia holds a BA in Environmental Science and Sustainability with a minor in Sociology from Barnard College. Outside of work, Sophia enjoys baking, going on hikes, and attending concerts.
