Nora Madonick is a seasoned communications strategist who has built her reputation on developing research-based awareness and engagement programs on issues that matter to Americans—energy, transportation, safety, jobs and the environment. As ASC’s founder and lead strategist for over 29 years, Nora has delivered project communication and creative marketing strategy to public and private sector initiatives and infrastructure projects. 

Nora’s notable experiences include:

  • Leading communications strategies for New York Power Authority projects including New York Energy Highway, Reimagine the Canals, ReCharge NY and Smart Street Lighting NY

  • Developing a statewide large scale renewable outreach plan for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority

  • Designing public and stakeholder engagement for the Battery Park City Authority Coastal Resilience Program

  • Guiding environmental review engagement for Bear Ridge Solar Farm, South Fork Wind Farm and Cricket Valley Energy Center

  • Advancing the national air quality awareness campaign, It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air, for the Federal Highway Administration

  • Improving safety practices in the rail industry through the It’s easy. It’s confidential. And it could save a life. campaign for the Federal Railroad Administration

  • Developing the national award-winning Know Before You Go marketing campaign for the Capital District Transportation Authority

A graduate of the competitive Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, Nora completed graduate studies in Communication at Fairfield University and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and earned a B.A. with honors in English Literature and Women’s Studies at the State University of New York. She is a board member of the New York League of Conservation Voters.
