Jared Klukas brings a holistic and equity-conscious perspective to public relations and community engagement within the transportation and planning space. Building from his experience in advocacy initiatives ranging from zoning reform to transportation accessibility research, Jared transforms complex policy into catalyzing tools for communities, delivered through an array of communication mediums.

Supporting technical assistance projects through guidance with placemaking strategies, zoning code analysis, and climate resilience research at Smart Growth America.
Co-developing a research paper that analyzes transportation accessibility gaps for people with disabilities and aging populations in Connecticut thorough GIS mapping with the Engineering for Human Rights Initiative.
Informing the public and communities across Connecticut about zoning reform and transit-oriented development legislation as a Policy Fellow at Desegregate Connecticut.
Jared is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Philosophy and a minor in Human Rights. During his free time, he enjoys reading, swimming, and hiking.
